Rostering and timesheets for cleaning businesses.

Cleaners work early, late and often alone, at sites you rarely see. Crewline puts the roster, the site’s checklist and the clock on their phone, and turns their hours into timesheets with the award loadings you’ve checked.

Sound familiar?

Running cleaning crews without the ring-around.

  • BeforeA cleaner calls in sick at 5 am and you’re texting around to cover the site.

With CrewlineMake it an open shift. Your team sees it in the app, asks to take it, and you approve one person.

  • BeforeYou can’t be at every site after hours, so you don’t know who actually turned up.

With CrewlineEvery clock-in is checked against the site’s zone, and the live board shows who’s on site, late or finished.

  • BeforeClients want proof the job was done, and a paper sheet doesn’t cut it.

With CrewlineCleaners tick the site’s checklist, add photos and get the client’s signature at clock-out.

Features

How Crewline works for cleaning crews.

  • Rosters by site or by cleaner

Plan the week across offices, schools and strata buildings, repeat regular cleans weekly or copy a whole week, then publish.

  • Access notes on the clock screen

Keep key safe, alarm and parking notes on the site. Cleaners see them on their phone when they arrive.

  • Checklists that come with the shift

Start from the office clean or bathroom check template and edit it per site. Unfinished checklists are flagged on the timesheet.

  • Client sign-off at clock-out

Turn on sign-off for a site and the client signs on the cleaner’s phone. Shifts finished without a signature are flagged.

  • Notes that reach the next shift

A clock-out note like “out of hand towels on level 2” can go straight to the site chat, where the next cleaner will see it.

  • Clock in from the basement

No signal in the car park or plant room? Clock-ins and ticks save on the phone and sync when signal returns.

Pay and awards

The Cleaning Services Award, as a starting template.

Cleaning businesses start with pay rules based on the Cleaning Services Award 2020 [MA000022], including the 15% part-time and 25% casual loadings. Crewline applies them to every timesheet, alongside each site’s state public holidays.

Check the rates against the current pay guide, then confirm them. Until you do, pay shows as an estimate. Allowances and other award conditions aren’t calculated, so add those in your payroll system.

FAQ

Cleaning questions, answered.

More on clock-in privacy, payroll export and pricing in the main FAQ.

Does Crewline include the Cleaning Services Award?

Yes, as a starting template. Cleaning businesses start with rates based on the Cleaning Services Award 2020 [MA000022]: early and late shifts, overnight shifts, weekends, public holidays, overtime, and part-time and casual loadings. Check the rates against the current Fair Work pay guide and confirm them in settings. Until then, pay shows as an estimate.

Can clients sign off a clean?

Yes. Turn on sign-off for a site and, at clock-out, the cleaner hands over their phone so the client can sign and add their name. The signature is kept with the timesheet, and shifts finished without one are flagged for review.

What happens if a cleaner clocks in from the car park?

Each site has a clock-in zone, 150 metres by default for cleaning businesses, which you can change per site. You choose whether clock-ins outside the zone are recorded and flagged for review, or refused.
